Istanbul has Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen international airports.

Ataturk airport is the big one and it has over 45 million passengers capacity per year. It's on the European side and about 28 km west of the city centre. It is a modern airport and has a tourist office, post office, 24-hour banking, ATMs, cell phone retailers selling SIM cards, car rental offices, exchange bureaus, and several shops and restaurants.

Sabiha Gokcen airport is located in 35 km southeast of central Istanbul. It is on the Asian side of the bi-continental city. It was built after Ataturk airport in order to satisfy demands. It has 25 million passangers capacity per year.

Getting to Istanbul Technical University

 

Campus is near the ITU Ayazaga underground metro railway station.

From Taksim (City Center) to ITU Maslak Campus:

Take the M2 metro line from Taksim station to ITU Ayazaga station toward Haciosman direction. Eighth station is ITU (Istanbul Technical University) Ayazaga station. The travel takes about 15-20 minutes from Taksim station.
You can also use Taxis for transportation. You should tell the driver to take you to "Istanbul Teknik Universitesi, Insaat Fakultesi, Maslak". It will cost about 25 Turkish Lira (approx. 10 Euros).

From Sultanahmet to ITU Maslak Campus:

Take the T1 city tramway from Sultanahmet station towards the direction of Kabatas and get off the tramway at the stop "Kabatas" (Last station in this direction). At this stop, you will see the F1 Finikular line. Take the F1 line (this line is only one station long) to arrive "Taksim". At the "Taksim station", transfer to the M2 metro line in the direction of "ITU Ayazaga, Haciosman". Eighth station is ITU (Istanbul Technical University) Ayazaga station. The journey will take about 50 minutes in total.
You can also use Taxis for transportation. You should tell the driver to ltake you to "Istanbul Teknik Universitesi, Insaat Fakultesi, Maslak". It will cost about 40 Turkish Lira (approx. 15 Euros).

From Airport to ITU Maslak Campus:

Take the M1 Light Railway system from Airport station to the direction of Aksaray. At the third station (Atakoy- Sirinevler Station), transfer to the Bus Line MB34 (metrobus). At 16th Station (Mecidiyekoy Station), transfer to the M2 line from Sisli-Mecidiyekoy station in the direction of ITU Ayazaga (Hacýosman). Fifth station is ITU (Istanbul Technical University) Ayazaga station. The journey will take about 70-80 minutes in total.
You can also use Taxis for transportation. You should tell the driver to take you to "Istanbul Teknik Universitesi, Insaat Fakultesi, Maslak". It will cost about 65 Turkish Lira (approx. 25 Euros).

From Airport to Taksim or Sultanahmet:

The approximate taxi for from Ataturk Airport to Taksim and Sultanahmet are listed below:
Ataturk Airport to Taksim - 45 TL (18-20 Euros)
Ataturk Airport to Sultanahmet - 40 TL (15-18 Euros)
