BLG520E - Cryptography
The course covers cryptographic concepts ranging from the earliest examples of encryption in history to modern cryptographic methods.
Students who successfully complete the course are expected to acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Understanding why and how classical cryptographic systems were developed.
- Applying probability theory and analyzing product ciphers.
- Understanding substitution–permutation networks and applying linear and differential cryptanalysis to them.
- Implementing the DES and AES algorithms.
- Implementing the RSA cryptosystem.
